About The Project
These Carvana patches were designed for a campaign for one aspect of Carvana called Carvana OnDemand. Carvana OnDemand is the concept of preordering a vehicle in advance before it gets put up in the search inventory. Carvana OnDemand is a feature that allows you to reserve upcoming inventory that has yet to be inspected or perfected. It could take up to 30 days for consumer to be able to get their vehicle during this process. A lot of our researched showed that a significant amount of people would fall off before the 30 Days.
As an experiment, the team came up with an idea to alleviate some of the pains of waiting for our consumers. We called the project “Make Waiting Fun.” Make Waiting Fun was a marketing campaign to send out fun emails with videos for our consumers for retention while we go through the process of inspection, photography—to get someone their vehicles available as soon as possible. If our customers decides to not go through with the purchase, it gets put up into our regular inventory available to everyone else.
These two actors, Randi & Karl were part of the marketing campaign for Make Waiting Fun. To tie in the video to some of our digital touchpoints like our emails, I created digital patches similar to the ones on their shirt to go with some of the messaging.
