Eastman Strings

About The Project

Eastman Strings is a subset of the Eastman Instrument Category. They came to me for consultation and digital branding. I used their “Modern Instrument. Old Fashion Quality” value prop to create a style for them that would represent that. I went through an exercise of coming up with keywords that might describe the brand. I collected images that fit these words (Earthy, wood, cement, brick, handmade, hand crafted, good design, desaturated, real, solid etc) After this exercise, I came up with a series of colors that would represent each string type instrument. From there, I went through the exercise of finding the right typography for the digital brand. To go off the words of Modern and Old fashion, I picked a combination of serif and san serif fonts to give it contrast.
